The real site
Temple Point lies off Menjangan Island, inside West Bali National Park on the island's north-west tip. Steep drop-offs and coral gardens with large boulders run from about 15 to 30 m. The sea is usually calm and the current mild, and visibility often passes 30 m, which makes it a favourite with photographers. Anthias and clownfish live on the reef and turtles are common. Reef sharks and eagle rays turn up now and then. The best months are April to November. Boats leave from the Pemuteran area.
